 Mission Statement

The mission of the Governor's Office of Disability Affairs is to facilitate access to the opportunities needed for persons with disabilities (in the State of Louisiana) to live as fully engaged participants in society.

• The Department of Labor (DOL) and the Social Security Administration (SSA) have jointly established a new position, the Disability Program Navigator, within DOL's One-Stop Career Centers.The Disability Program Navigator Inititative will help people with disabilties "navigate" through the challenges of seeking work. Navigators will operate in a Career Solutions Center as a resource for people with disabilites.        
  
• Are you going to college this fall? GODA has begun to identify collegiate programs in Louisiana that provide assistance to those with disabilities. Click here to learn more...
